About IMAJN Foods

IMAJN Foods originated in 2007 by its founder Frederick J. Johnson. The name IMAJN, an acronym derived from Frederick's son's name (Isaiah Michael Johnson) establishes a legacy for Isaiah. Using his son's name also allowed Frederick an opportunity to honor Isaiah.

Frederick, a food enthusiast since his early childhood, helped his mother prepare classic southern dishes for special events, holiday gatherings as well as everyday family meals. Frederick even won a biscuit competition in a local 4-H group during his elementary school years. Frederick realized that he loved cooking for others after receiving rave recognitions and awards for his efforts in local cooking contests.

Frederick's early cooking experiences inspired him to take his cooking to new heights. Frederick gathered numerous cookbooks, watched endless food programs on television and experimented on his own to become a self-taught chef. One of the main philosophies that guides Frederick in creating recipes and in his cooking methods is keep it simple. Frederick believes using "easy" techniques when cooking eliminates the stress often involved when preparing foods.

Frederick created IMAJN Foods as a means to share his cooking knowledge, recipes and ideas with the world. Frederick wants to show everyone how "easy" cooking can be no matter the occasion. Frederick's recipes are "easy" yet impressive. Frederick hopes to reach as many people as he can to teach them cooking can be easier than they ever IMAJNed.
